Where's your car?

For as long as I've known Elaine, I've never seen her as looney as she was last Friday night for the Moonlight Run. I don't know, maybe it was "la luna" (for the moon was full) or she must have had a few ounces of Red Bull before the race. Lizzie and I got to Palo Alto early because I was doing race day registration.

Lizzie convinced me to do the race less than a week after See Jane Tri. She promised me a night of babysitting on Saturday for Ben's birthday if I raced with her. How could I refuse?! Anyway, when Elaine and Sarah arrived we went around for the second time to fill our goody bags. Elaine found some tatoos so we put some on. You guys have already seen my leg tatoo so you can check Elaine and Lizzie's cheek tatoos. Very festive!

Well, time to put the goody bags in the car. We parked a little ways away so it took us a while to get to the parking lot. On our way there, Elaine, in her "hyper" state kept asking "Where's your car?" about 5 billion times. She was just being an annoying little goofball! I love you, Elaine. We finally found the car (yes folks, it was there) and stowed our stuff away.

Sarah already took off for her 10k race when we got back. Thats when we found Donna and her friend Jen. It was so not fair to time this race, or even consider it as one. Race, I mean. There were soooo many runners and the path didn't really open up until we were maybe halfway through the course! It was a good run though, for the part where we did get to run.

I finished 35:28 as per my watch which does not really count. Lizzie said we do the Moonlight Run not to race but to hang out with friends. I never did consider running 3 mi. as a social activity, but I guess we did bond. It really was fun. Maybe next year Ben and the boys would come too. Have a good rest of the week folks! Hanggang sa muli, until next e-time...
